U.S. Marshal Maloney got his first taste of Lagoonieville when he inadvertently ran into a few Lagoonies while tracking a criminal in Colombian Secrets. Envious of their lifestyle, he quit his job, bought a sailboat, convinced Maggie, his wife, that he wasn’t nuts, and they sailed to the Caribbean as free-lance undercover agents for the DEA to learn more about the world’s largest smuggling operation, the Ortega Cartel. Sailing and occasionally snooping is a rewarding experience until Maloney finds a smuggled copy of Ortega’s Operation Schedule: a blueprint to great wealth and power. The file also connects Maloney’s corrupt boss to Bolivian smugglers who are secretly stealing Ortega’s business. The DEA official tells the Bolivians to kill the Maloneys, and sends a team of rogue agents to be sure that file ends up in his hands. Maloney, cut off from government help, forms a band of colorful pirates to fight his enemies and stem the unrestricted flow of drugs to the States. Contrary to their personal values, to survive, they must resort to using smuggler’s tactics: He who kills first, wins.
Pirates, Smugglers and Voodoo Meanies
Murderous Colombian smugglers, evil Bolivian priests, and a corrupt DEA director, race to kill an undercover agent and his wife and take possession of a file that will make its owner the undisputable king of smugglers.
